The Campaign - Days Six, Seven, and Eight
Aaand we're back. Howdy folks! Will Stabile here, with another exciting campaign update! Exciting for me, anyway.
Well, the weekend was a blast. I, for one, went to a party on the Santa Monica Pier and enjoyed a tasty meal at Bubba Gump's Shrimp Co. By the way, and I'm not alone here, I really don't think that Forrest Gump is a movie that really lends itself to a theme restaurant.
But I'm not sure you care about my weekend carousing, so let's get down to business. As you probably saw, I have a whole new batch of necklaces/lanyards/badges/thingies for everybody, and I grossly overestimated the amount I would need. So, if anybody wants spares, look for me and the Trader Joe's sack I'll be carrying. They're shiny and laminated, and I even trimmed the pokey corners so you don't hurt anybody.
I'm also writing my speech for Wednesday, and I'm debating whether or not to deliver it in a fake Southern accent. On the one hand, it's been sort of a tenet of my campaign to shy away from gimmicks. On the other, well, it sounds pretty fun. So, this would be a perfect opportunity to leave comments! What do you think I should do?
There's an Inner Council meeting on the morrow, and your elections newsletter should be coming out soon. And remember, Wednesday is the VERY LAST POSSIBLE EVER DAY to register to vote. If you don't, there's no candy, and you can't vote. Actually, the second one is probably more important. So, register to vote! The registrars are back in the quad, so you don't have to search for them any more. You're welcome.
I have the list of registered people, so I'll know if you're lying. I also have the class roster, so, if you're lying, let's just say I know where you live.
On that ominous note, see ya!
Today's Helpful Hint From Will: In case you were wondering, there's a system of British nobility ranking known as peerage. So, if you ever need to know, the rankings are as follows, from least important to most important:
- Baron (called a Lord of Parliament in Scotland)
- Viscount
- Earl (also known as a Count)
- Marquess (the female equivalent is a Marchioness)
- Duke (there are also Royal Dukes, which are unrelated)
Of course, there are various Archdukes and Prince-Bishops and whatnot, but that's standard British peerage. Just in case you were wondering.
I WILL - STILL

Hey Charlie and Jenny! Greetings from not-Rochester!
Thanks for the advice, I didn't really want to do the accent, it's just that gimmicks are proving so popular. Although the foundation of my campaign is "no gimmicks". Huh.
The 90's dance is indeed a slammin', boss, and gear idea (respectively), and hopefully we can work with it.
And, I promise not only various poultry in various items of cookware, I also promise two vehicles in every automobile receptacle.
